Top Sheet Face Up Or Down / Up or down doesn't matter much, as the recipient can always turn the printout around :) but generally putting the documents upside down will make the fax scan the top of the if using the feeder probably face up as it will likely pull the document in and invert it to lay face down on the scanning glass.
